Photography Gallery

I have always loved photography and have all my life taken photographs, though I could never afford a darkroom. Today though I use Photoshop, a digital camera, and a scanner to work up my images.

A short review of my images reveal I am no purist. I am more interested in the interpretation of the image. The photograph for me, from the instant it’s taken, it’s removed (abstracted) from reality. All presentations of that frozen moment are interpretations. It’s up to the photographer to set the aesthetic boundaries and meaning, and for the viewer to make sense of the image before them.

Many of the same elements that are found in my other works are present in my photographs, but what stands out for me is a passion for light and composition that conveys memories and emotions.

These are just a few of the images I have taken over the years, and in time I will add more “portfolios” to this section.

I hope you enjoy these,

Brian
